Make it a plain adn simple dress, or pattern includes instructions for lace insertion, and traceable embroidery designs.  You can also use the pattern to create a simple shift style underdress. All instructions included!

The photographs above show dresses made from this pattern. As you can see, the bodice is poufed (gathered) in the front, and the skirt gathers all the way around. The optional waistline sash can be made from simple cotton, or velvet, silk, or wide ribbon. This pattern is rated "intermediate" because of the heirloom techniques included (French seams; lace insertion). However, making it a simple day dress is not beyond the skill of a beginner!
